Camiguin, known as the “Island Born of Fire,” is a captivating province in the northern part of Mindanao in the Philippines. It’s the second smallest province in the country both in population and land area, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in its stunning natural beauty and rich history. Its provincial capital is the municipality of Mambajao.

For beach lovers, White Island is an unmissable spot. This uninhabited white sandbar with crystalline waters changes shape depending on the tide and offers a stunning view of the volcanoes. Mantigue Island is another destination where one can enjoy snorkeling in the marine sanctuary or simply relaxing on its beautiful beaches.

Camiguin’s Lanzones Festival is an annual celebration where streets come alive with dances and parades in honor of the lanzones fruit, a tropical fruit that the island is particularly known for producing.
