We finally arrived at our destination to the quite little town of Dinalungan after along drive through the coastal hills of Aurora. Dinalungan which is located in-between the resort towns of Dinadiawan, Dipaculao (a barangay so far from its town proper it’s its own town) and Casiguran. Dinadiawan has a great public market where we got the sweetest pineapple I’ve ever eaten.
While in Dinalungan proper we turned toward the coast and went to the beach front to have lunch and enjoy the view. There are food stalls and areas just to look at the view. And as the town relies on fishing a lot of boats.
Once we arrived and ate, we went to our resort (Pineda Beach Resort) where we spent three days enjoying the quite beach along the Casiguran Sound. Where Baler’s beaches were rough and full of waves, the Casiguran Sound was like a saltwater lake with hardly any ripples.
We stayed at the beautiful Pineda Beach Resort just north of Dinalungan Proper. The resort is right on the beach, and it has a few rooms to rent with aircon and a comfort room with a shower. The two rooms we rented had a queen-sized bed and a set of bunk beds – the bottom that could sleep 2 people comfortably and the top a single person. The resort also has a couple of bungalows and a family eating area.
We played in the water, ate good food, and hung out together at the resort, but the most fun we had was our trip to Bulawan Falls. See you next time as we explore these beautiful falls.
