The road to Bulawan Falls from Dinalungan is through the rural barangay of Paleg. It is mostly jungle and is a beautiful 4 kilometers drive to get there. A lot of the barangay’s water is channeled through the below water system along the road. The trip was experienced in August of 2024 by me and my family.

The Bulawan Falls was so stunning that I give it a 12 on the 10 scale. They are a multi-tiered system with pools and waterfalls to play in, and the water isn’t too cold. It was wonderful to spend a couple of days there. With out a doubt it was the highlight of our trip.

As we went there in the off season (late July-early August), and during the middle of the week; there wasn’t anyone to really compete with for the area. We played in three different spots: a small pool near the second from the top waterfall, a pool with a medium size waterfall that made a lot of bubbles and was strong enough to almost pants me, and a spot at the bottom that had two great waterfalls and a deep area where you could swim.

After our visit to the Bulawan Falls we returned home but not before visiting the Millenium Tree in Maria Aurora. See you there for some pictures and history.
